CSIR will celebrate its Foundation Day and Open Days on September 26-27 in Mysore.
MYSORE: The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), a premier industrial R&D organization, is going to celebrate its Foundation Day and Open Days here on September 26-27.

CSIR will remain open to public for the two days, displaying innovations and technologies on food science of interest to students and entrepreneurs. Entry will be permitted from the north gate at 11:30 AM on Friday and 9:30 AM on Saturday till 4:00 PM.

Extending a warm welcome to all, Rajasekharan says CSIR aims to provide industrial competitiveness, social welfare, strong S&T base for strategic sectors and advancement of fundamental knowledge. They will show case research activities, machinery and products developed by the team during celebrations.

India’s new Science and Technology Policy 2003 presents science and technology with a human face and emphasizes realities such as facing open, global competition; need for examining social, economic and environmental consequences of S&T; aggressive international bench-marking and innovation. It advocates strong support for basic research with emphasis on manpower build-up and retention.
