NEW DELHI: Former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday unveiled the Aam Aadmi Party’s vision for the trading and enterprise community of Delhi and promised that after being voted to power in the state, the AAP government will create an atmosphere conducive to business and entrepreneurial activity.

Addressing a gathering of about 10,000 people at Nehru Place, Kejriwal launched #BusinessDialogue with a number of promises including end of Inspector Raj and routine VAT raids in the city.

He said such raids were being misused to harass honest businessmen and extort money from them as he promised simplification of VAT, and a portion of the money to be used in development and upgradation of market areas and vehicle parking facility.

He sought to win the largest community, the backbone of BJP in Delhi, as he promised everything he could including space and security to street vendors and parking facility to shop owners in market areas.

The former Delhi CM urged businessmen to share suggestions on how to improve governance as he promised to make stakeholder participation of the community in formation of trade policies mandatory and end to Inspector Raj.
