NEW DELHI: Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy posted a video on Facebook on wake of the assault on Rajdeep Sardesai at the Madison Square ground in New York, the venue of the Narendra Modi’s address to NRIs, on Sunday.

A video showing the attack on Sardesai had gone viral on social media, inviting widespread criticism of Modi supporters for orchestrating the assault on the senior journalist and aimed to teach a lesson to those scribes who are critical of Modi.

Sardesai, Executive Editor of Aaj Tak and Headlines Today, who was in New York to cover PM Modi’s maiden trip to USA, had tweeted Sunday: “Glad we caught the idiots on cam. Only way to shame the mob is to show them” and one more “Great crowd at Madison square garden! except a few idiots who still believe abuse is a way of proving their machismo!”

In reply, Swami posted a video on Facebook Monday with a message:

“From yesterday many media houses are playing a small, incomplete clip and claiming that Modi supporters attacked Rajdeep Saradesai!

Now watch this video to know what really happened! It was our renowned Journalist who actually first abused, and attacked an NRI at Madison Square Garden, NYC. After this incident NRI’s started calling Police, which is the right thing to do!

Also, you can find other YouTube videos where our leading Journalist is insulting NRIs by calling them Idiots, frenzy Narendra modi supporters, people with money but no class etc.!”
