NEW DELHI: Following the disclosure of more than three lakh voters found to be fake in the Varanasi parliamentary constituency by Election Commission officials, many people expressed their outbursts on micro-blogging site Twitter since a day.
Even as the administration apprehends the number of fake voters may rise up to 6.5 lakh, the media has come under severe criticism for not taking up the issue as seriously as it deserves. Here are some quotes picked from Twitter on Wednesday.

Clarification:
It has come to light that the information published on a section of media including mainstream newspapers that over three lakhs fake voters were registered in Varanasi was incorrect. The district administration has clarified that the number of fake voters was 23,664.
